Work

Currently I’m a Senior Cloud Solution Architect at TEQWERK, where I use my background in cloud-native infrastructure, software development and DevOps to guide companies of all sizes on their journey to the cloud.

Before that I built IAV’s private cloud and was responsible for on-premise Kubernetes, Ceph and GitLab, as well as driving the adoption of public and hybrid cloud services.

Over the years I’ve had an active voice in evolving modern enterprise IT architecture and am renowned as a leader for DevOps methodology and cloud technology.

Favorite Tools

Kubernetes

GitLab

Ceph

Terraform

Ansible

Prometheus / Grafana

Visual Studio Code

Over the years I've had the chance to wear many hats.

Some of my previous non-tech roles include:

  • Emergency Medical Technician
  • Ski Instructor
  • Bicycle Mechanic
  • German Teaching Assistant
  • Lifeguard
  • Guest Speaker
  • Tutor
  • Sailboat Crew

Cooking

Always cook with wine…if you want you can even add some to the food!

I’m working on my cookbook - feel free to have a look!

Dancing

They tell you to face your fears, so I took a course.

Turns out it’s actually fun!

Guitar

Don’t expect a concert anytime soon, but my trusty Taylor is my go-to to unwind after a long day.

Mountain Life

Hiking, climbing, via ferrata, trail running…

The mountains are my happy place.

Sailing

I’ve raced, I’ve cruised, I’ve sailed offshore along most of eastern North America and I’ve enjoyed a hard earned dark ‘n stormy after navigating through fog so thick I could barely see my hand in front of my face.

And I loved it all!

Skiing

I’m a DSV Level B licensed ski instructor and guide club ski trips in my free time.

I also built MTV Gifhorn’s ski website - check it out!

Play

Work’s fun, but so are lots of other things!

I love learning new things, which leads to an abundance of hobbies.

On any given day you can find me cooking, climbing, sailing, skiing, dancing or just strumming along with some music on the guitar.
